Introducing Ginerva

The medical computer on the Renegade Pigeon kept prodding Vonthos "Get up! Move around! You can't heal laying on your back all day!".  Vonthos, still weak from his ordeal, got up and decided to walk around the starport.  

He was being followed.  Was it Unity?  Are the K'Erin here?  He moved to a populated area, bought a cup of tea, and scanned the crowd.
A young woman approached him, her eyes drilling into his.  She didn't seem armed, but her eyes made him uneasy.  She sat down next to him and spoke "I have seen you in my dreams.  You will save my life, and I shall save yours.  Not now, but it will happen."
Vonthos, heavily confused, responded "Little human girl, I don't know what you're talking about."
"You will hire me as crew for the Renegade Pigeon.  Your captain will agree with this, and we will travel together."
Vonthos laughed.  "Well, little human girl, if you're certain, I'll introduce you to the Captain."
The woman, Ginevra, smiled "I knew you would."

This was the last figure from the two sets of Core Space crew I purchased.  She just looked like an Empath, and when we rolled a Campaign Event adding a new recruit, I figured I'd use the mini.

 After a long hiatus, I am back (hopefully).  Documenting the last turn I played before shutting down for a while. Celebrations over, the crew of the Renegade Pigeon prepared to finally discover the mystery they had been tracking down since they first banded together.  The two artifacts that they had - one given to Kazi by her mother, and one in the possession of the alien treasure-hunter, Vonthos, led to Hesione. Bug Hunt - Kethira Station, Actogor System

I didn't want to 3d print 20 or so "Slithering Horrors", so I decided to try this turn in Roll 20.  Created some quick macros to help, uploaded some tokens, and went at it.  Based on the results, I should have stuck with dice and minis.... "Ok, Team - Listen Up", Dude said, her voice shaky, "We have our next mission.  Kethira station in the Actogor system has been infested by some kind of alien goop-creatures.  We go in, burn them, get out." "Dude, calm down.  I know Gunny left, but it's just us." Kevin said. "Quiet down, Kevin.  Here's the layout of the station.  We hit these three spots, kill as many things as we can, and call for evac.  We're bringing my incinerator, Flamey, and grenades.  Now suit up, and move out." The team moved in, securing  the entrance.  Blips all over.  The team advanced, getting through the main doorway, burning and shooting their way through many of the Slithering Horrors.  Dude and Vile stay

House Rule - Leveling up

In order to make the game a bit more fun and easy, I'm going to make an alteration in the training rules for going up levels. The training time will be a flat week - I forgot if I was having you spend two before, but in the future, it will be 1.  If I was already having you spend 1 week, you will still be spending 1 week :) The cost will be 500gp/level, so to get to 5th level, the training cost will be 2500gp.  And don't forget that Toko and Johnny Longbow will need 1000gp each to get to 2nd level, once they get enough XP.  This is down from 1500gp per level per week. Non-humans have level limits per the "rules as written".  As I've mentioned before, I'm removing that for single-classed characters.  However, there will be a penalty.  Once you exceed the by-the-book limit (i.e. a half-elf fighter's max level is 8th by the book, so for Dylan to get above 8th level), the time to train doubles to 2 weeks - so it's basically 1000gp/level after that.
